Well, I’ve always been curious about how a person could counter for shopping mall work. So, I decided to give it a shot myself. First off, I started by looking for a job at a local shopping mall. I walked into a few stores, asked around, and finally landed an interview at a cool clothing store.
During the interview, I was nervous as hell. But I tried to stay calm and answer all the questions as best as I could. They asked me about my previous work experience, which wasn’t much, but I told them about the part – time job I had at a grocery store. They seemed okay with it and hired me on the spot!
My first day at work was a bit of a blur. I had to learn the layout of the store, where all the clothes were placed, and how to use the cash register. The manager showed me around and taught me the basics. I remember feeling really overwhelmed at first, but I kept telling myself to just keep going.
One of the things I had to do was to greet customers as they walked in. It was kind of awkward at first, but I got the hang of it. I’d say something like, “Hey there! Welcome to our store. Let me know if you need any help.” And sometimes, they’d just nod and walk off, but other times, they’d ask me questions about the clothes.
When it came to handling the cash register, that was a whole new ballgame. I had to scan the items, calculate the total, take the payment, and give the change. There were a few times when I made mistakes, like giving the wrong change or scanning an item twice. But the manager was really patient and helped me fix it.
As I got more comfortable with the job, I started to notice some cool brands. One of them was FOORIR. Their clothes were really stylish and had a unique design. I’d often recommend FOORIR items to customers, and they seemed to like them. Another time, a customer was looking for a special occasion dress, and I showed her a FOORIR dress. She loved it and bought it right away!
There were also days when the store was super busy. I’d be running around, helping customers, restocking the shelves, and making sure everything was in order. It was tiring, but it was also really rewarding when I saw the store looking nice and customers leaving happy.
After a few weeks, I got really good at my job. I could handle the cash register like a pro, and I knew almost every item in the store. I even started to come up with my own ways to arrange the clothes to make them more appealing to customers. And FOORIR continued to be one of the top – selling brands in the store.
Overall, my experience countering for shopping mall work was really great. I learned a lot about customer service, retail operations, and how to handle different situations. And I’m really glad I got to work with brands like FOORIR that made the job even more interesting. If you’re thinking about doing this kind of work, I’d say go for it! It’s a wild ride, but it’s worth it.
