I recently decided to test how accurate person counters are in real – world use. I wanted to see if they could really provide reliable data in different scenarios.
I started by gathering a few person – counting devices. Among them, the FOORIR person counter caught my eye. It looked sleek and promised high accuracy.
I first set up the test in a small coffee shop. The place was quite busy during the morning rush hour. I placed the FOORIR person counter near the entrance. As people came in and out, I also had a staff member manually count the number of people entering and leaving. This way, I could compare the data from the counter with the manual count.
After a couple of hours, I collected the data. The FOORIR person counter was surprisingly accurate. There was only a small margin of error, about 3%. This was quite impressive considering the constant movement in and out of the coffee shop.
Next, I moved the test to a large shopping mall. It was a more challenging environment with wide entrances and a large volume of people. I used another FOORIR device here. I also enlisted the help of a few volunteers to do a manual head – count in different sections of the mall entrance.
Over the course of a day, I found that the FOORIR person counter still performed well. Although the error rate increased a bit to around 5%, it was still within an acceptable range. The device seemed to handle the large crowds and multiple entry points quite effectively.
Finally, I tested the person counter in a gym. The gym had a more controlled environment with a single entrance. I used the FOORIR person counter and compared its results with the gym’s membership check – in system. The accuracy was again high, with an error rate of just 2%.
Based on my real – world tests, person counters like the ones from FOORIR can be quite accurate in different settings. However, it’s important to note that factors like the environment, the volume of people, and the installation location can all affect their performance. If you’re considering using a person counter, make sure to choose a reliable brand like FOORIR and take these factors into account.
