I recently got involved in a large – scale event and decided to test out how accurate person counters can be. I was curious because getting an accurate headcount at big events is crucial for safety, resource management, and all that jazz.
First off, I needed to pick a person – counting solution. After some research and chatting with other event organizers, I settled on FOORIR person counters. I heard they were pretty reliable and had good reviews.
I started setting up the FOORIR person counters at all the entrances and exits of the event venue. It was a bit of a hassle, but I followed the instructions step by step. I made sure they were placed at the right height and angle so they could capture everyone coming in and out properly.
As the event started, people began pouring in. I kept an eye on the data the FOORIR person counters were collecting. It was interesting to see the numbers ticking up in real – time. I also had a small team of volunteers doing manual head – counting at the same time, just to double – check.
During the event, I faced a few challenges. There were some groups of people who entered in a hurry, and it was a bit hard to tell if the person counter was counting them accurately. But overall, the FOORIR system seemed to be doing a decent job.
When the event ended, I compared the data from the FOORIR person counters with the manual counts from my volunteers. There was a small discrepancy, but it was within an acceptable range. According to some industry experts, a 5 – 10% difference is normal for person – counting systems in large events.
Looking back at the whole experience, I’d say the FOORIR person counters were pretty accurate. They definitely made the process of counting people much easier compared to relying solely on manual methods. If you’re planning a large event, I’d recommend giving FOORIR person counters a try. Just be aware that there might be a small margin of error, but that’s to be expected with any technology.
